Police Blotter: Man, 21, Charged in Pot Bust

Weekend Arrests Made in Shuttle Bus Altercation

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, at approximately 5:38 p.m., a Ledyard Police officer on patrol made a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle traveling on Iron Street (Rte. 214) in Ledyard. Investigation by the officer subsequent to the stop, as well as a search involving a Police K9, led to the arrest of the vehicle operator on drug related charges.

Marc Nunn, 21, of Coachman's Pike in Ledyard, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, as well as traveling at an unreasonable speed and failure to obey a stop  sign. Nunn was processed, released, and will appear at GA 10 in New London.

Shuttle Bus Altercation

On Sunday, Nov. 27, at approximately 1:20 a.m., the Ledyard Police Department was advised that an altercation had occurred on a shuttle bus traveling from the Foxwoods Casino to the Two Trees Hotel. Upon investigation, it was determined that two females had engaged in a physical altercation with a third unrelated female on the bus. This incident resulted in no injury to the victim.

Aubrey C. Towne, 22, of 75 Spring St., Shrewsbury,  MA, and Justine M. Towne, 21, of 5430 Basking Ridge Drive, Fayetteville, NC, were both charged with Breach of Peace. Both women were released on $500 bond and will appear at GA 10 New London.
