Ledyard Police today reported a minor accident involving an occupied school bus that was side-swiped by a vehicle passing in the opposite direction on Overlook Road in Gales Ferry. There were no injuries reported.
Police said Emily Brawner, 19, of 37 Overlook Drive, was attempting to pass the school bus, driven by Kira Flint, when the two vehicles scraped. Minor damage was reported to Brawner's 1999 Nissan Altima. There was no visible damage to the bus.
The accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. The Ledyard Police Department, Gales Ferry Fire Company, Ledyard Fire Department, and the Poquetanuck Ambulance all responded. No one was reported hurt and no one was transported to the hospital.
