Tree Down on Route 214 Closes Road

The road is closed between Avery Hill Road and Ledyard Middle School.

Updated at 1:25 p.m:Police say the road may be closed for another four hours.

Just after noon Friday, a tree on Route 214 was blown over and it took some wires down with it, according to police. The road is closed between the Ledyard Middle School and Avery Hill Road and people are advised to find an alternative route.
