8:53 p.m.: Board of Education winners: Sharon Hightower,  Michelle Hinton,  Julia Cronin, Gordon Strickland, Mimi Peck-Llewellyn, Tom Malone, Rebecca Graebner, Bob Beaver, and Joan Disco

8:47 p.m.: The new Town Council (both districts reporting):
Republicans Linda Davis, John Marshall, Sean Sullivan, Kevin Dombrowski, Steve Eichelberg, Mike France, and Democrats Mary McGratten, Sharon Wadecki and Bill Saums win seats.

8:43 p.m.: Gales Ferry polling place Town Council results:

Republicans Linda Davis, John Marshall, Sean Sullivan, Kevin Dombrowski, Steve Eichelberg, Mike France, and Democrats Mary McGratten, Sharon Wadecki and Bill Saums win seats.

8:25 p.m.: Ledyard has a new mayor, John Rodolico. Anthony Saccone came in second, incumbent mayor Fred Allyn third and Robert Lawrence fourth. Totals are coming.

Congrats John! But I want to extend my appreciation to all of the candidates, it's people like John, Tony and Fred that have the nerve and desire to serve your town that make this a great place to live! congratulations to all of the winners and a heart felt thank you to all who ran!

People have seen through the rhetoric and have looked at the record.Congratulations to John and a very well done to Tony on his first try for office. Fred, you should have listened.
