Does Your College Student Want to Intern in the Governor's Office?

The deadline is approaching for spring 2014 internships in the Connecticut Governor's Office. Here's how to apply.

If you answered yes to the question in the headline then here's everything you need to know:

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or recent college graduates
  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours a week

Application Deadlines
  • Fall 2013: Closed
  • Spring 2014: Nov. 15, 2013 
  • Summer 2014: March 29, 2014

To apply, download and fill out the internship application and submit it along with your resume, cover letter and a letter of recommendation from a professor/academic advisor by email or mail to:

What You'll Learn

"This program will provide an opportunity to learn the inner workings and be a part of the daily operations of state government. The Governor’s Internship Program seeks to supplement classroom instruction by offering exposure to different facets of state government while performing a variety of assignments.  Internship opportunities are available within the Governor’s Constituent Service and Legislative offices," a description states on the Governor's website
