Digital Resources --LIB K201

Digital resources are an integral library service and essential for research. Students will gain experience and practice in the selection and creation of digital collections.  Students will also discuss, analyze, and reflect on the issues of online subscriptions, web services, and eBooks that compete with traditional practices, services and budgets.   In this hands-on class students will learn how to write grants, convert primary sources into digital collections, and write eBooks that can be read on a variety of eReaders.  This course would be of interest to anyone interested in working in a library, a museum, or with historical documents and preservation.   This course is certified by the American Library Association.
