Good Deeds The Focus On September 11

This week Ledyard Middle School students, pledged to do a good deed in rememberance of victims and survivors of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Teachers at the school said that the events are not yet in the history books and so they discussed the day and the significance of tolerance and good will during advisory. The idea of having a banner with "I Will..." printed on it came from the 911day.org website, which has the slogan "good deeds unite us on 9/11"

The website also has free, age-appropriate lesson plans and other resources for educators who want to teach kids about Septermber 11.
