Kittens Up For Adoption Today

The Last of the Cats at LHS Are Looking for Good Homes

Of the 35 cats Ledyard High School took in earlier this year, all but nine have found homes. The rest hope to find families at the Canine Wellness Fair on Sunday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Four of the kittens are about 8 weeks old. These are ready to go to a permanent owner. All four are black and white and very playful.

An older cat has five kittens. Her babies are about 2 weeks old, too young to leave their mother. The mother herself is only about 1 year old. The school hopes to find a foster home for this family until they can be adopted.

Those interested in meeting or adopting the cats can do so at the Canine Wellness Fair. The fair will be held in the High School’s Agri-Science wing from 10 am to 2 pm. There will be $5 rabies shots available for dogs, and demonstrations and a basket raffle for their owners. Pets and people are both welcome.
