The Stars of Gallup Hill

These stars were afixed to the walls at Gallup Hill School after the group More Than Words visited classrooms to read and talk about how everyone has unique characteristics and that is one of the things that we all have in common. Group members read Dr. Seuss' book "The Sneeches" to help illustrate their message.

After the elementary students heard the book, they wrote about their own unique qualities on stars, which you see here.

More Than Word's mission is to talk about diversity issues to younger students. The group is comprised of high school students and advisors from Ledyard and New London High Schools.

Here's a video clip of the group's visit.
