Grab a Girlfriend and Run to See This Movie.

Laughed Until I Cried.

I promised a friend I wouldn’t blog about this movie until she seen it, so I hope she has seen it.  I absolutely adore Kristen Wiig from Saturday Night Live, and I absolutely adored Maya Rudolph when she was on Saturday Night Live. So when I heard these two were going to star in a movie, I knew I had to see it. What I didn’t know was that this movie was going to make me laugh so hard that I literally had tears coming from my eyes, laughed from the moment it came on right up until it ended. The movie I'm talking about is Bridesmaids.

Let me start with the cast, along with Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, there is Rose Byrne who I can’t get enough of on Damages, Melissa McCarthy from Mike and Molly, Ellie Kemper and Wendi McLendon-Covey. This mismatched cast is the best thing to happen to a chick flick, if that is what you want to call it, I know men all over will laugh just as hard as any chick will when watching this film.  These girls together were exceptionally funny, Melissa McCarthy is so naturally funny, and every word out of her mouth that is said with such seriousness had me laughing so hard.

The fun begins when Annie, who is played by Kristen Wiig, is asked to be her childhood friend Lillian’s Maid of honor.  Annie who is broke and down on her luck tries to give Lillian, who is played by Maya Rudolph the best of everything, from picking out the dresses, to planning the perfect shower, yet she is always one upped by Lillian’s new friend Helen played by Rose Byrne. Things just continue to go from bad to worse for Annie as this movie takes you on many levels of emotions and shows the true meaning of friendship. A must see, especially with your best friend or a group of friends. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
