Established in 1725, the First Congregational Church of Ledyard conducts traditional worship services Sunday mornings. In addition, during the summer months, an outdoor service is held earlier on Sunday mornings. The church is affiliated with United Church of Christ. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. Children are welcome at worship services and may leave for Sunday School following the "children's sermon." The church has a senior choir, youth choir, hand-bell choir and regular organist. Its pastor is Rev. Catriona Grant.
