Ledyard Public Works Dept. and Transfer Station

<p>The Ledyard Public Works Garage and Transfer Station is located on Colonel Ledyard Highway. The department's director, Steve Masalin, has an office at Town Hall.</p> <p>The Public Works Department maintains the town's infrastructure and receives and transfers municipal and bulky wastes for residents and property owners. The department also works to help ensure public and environmental health and safety.</p> <p>The Animal Control Office is located there too. The shelter takes in animals who are lost or abandoned and will help people find their missing pets. The ACO is part of the police department so it addresses public health and safety concerns that could arise from sick animals.</p>
