Mystic Valley Hunt Club

The Mystic Valley Hunt Club has been in Ledyard since 1983. The facility occupies 172 acres of picturesque woodland and fields with two cross-country courses. The club also has two indoor arenas and six outdoor sand arenas for shows and competitions. Inside the stables, there are a total of 50 horses of all breeds. Those looking to learn riding can take individual or group lessons with an instructor for between $35 and $60. Classes include instruction in cross-country and show jumping. Other services provided by the club include horse boarding and a summer day camp. Mystic Valley Hunt Club maintains a relationship with the community by coordinating programs with Connecticut College and by giving students in vocational agriculture courses at Ledyard High a chance to learn about and work with the horses.
