<p>The Ledyard Board of Education shares a building on Blonders Blvd. with the Department of Parks & Recreation. The Education Department oversees six public schools, including Ledyard High School, Ledyard Middle School, Ledyard Center School, Gallup Hill School, Juliet W. Long School and Gales Ferry School. The schools' superintendent is Dr. Michael Graner.  </p>
<p>The mission of Ledyard Public Schools is "to ensure a culture of excellence that maximizes student achievement, develops skills for life-long learning and prepares students to be productive and responsible citizens in a global society."</p>
