The Squad…More operates two ambulances, which respond to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents and other emergencies throughout Ledyard and Gales Ferry. LVES is comprised of volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), as well as several paid staff during the weekdays. In 2004 LVES moved into their current building on Fairway Drive, which is shared with Ledyard Fire Department and the Ledyard Fire Marshal.
