It won’t be long till we start to see the familiar yellow school buses populating the streets again. That’s right, school is about to start up and Crystal Mall is stepping in to make sure that children and families are fully prepared to hit the books in style this year! 

On Sunday, August 18 from noon to 2 p.m. the Waterford mall will host a Back-To-School event featuring interactive activities, fashion tips and valuable offers that will get kids and parents excited for the new school year. The event happens in time to kick off Connecticut’s Tax Free Week. 

Crystal Mall’s Back-to-School event is designed to make transitioning into academic routines a little easier.

Introducing what’s hot: Before hitting the books, families can explore the latest clothing, accessory and toy trends from retailers at the mall-wide sidewalk sale. Attendees will also catch the hottest fashion fads during the freeze modeling demonstrations. 

Sharing savvy ways to save: Event attendees will have the chance to win prizes and giveaways and tackle their back to school shopping lists with exclusive retailer coupons and the special “Shop for Swag” promotion. “Shop for Swag,” allows shoppers to bring in receipts totaling $100 or more to Crystal Mall’s management office and receive a swag bag full of goodies in return. Receipts must be dated between August 16, 2013 and August 18, 2013.
