National Day of Reason Blood Drive

The Atheist Humanist Society of CT and RI (@AHSCTRI), a non-theist group in Southeastern CT, will be holding their 2nd annual National Day of Reason blood drive. There is a drastic shortage of blood supply in CT especially during the summer months; actively participating in blood drives can undoubtedly seem like an answer to many prayers to those who are in dire need.

AHSCTRI’s goal is to help build up the supply of blood prior to summer when shortages typically arise and encourage theists and non-theists alike to unite in achieving their shared goals of the betterment of their fellows.

All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation is lending its support to this drive by donating food and able-bodied donors. Whether it be a blood drive or All Souls’ Fifth Saturday Community Meal, AHSCTRI and All Souls welcome opportunities to work together to give back to the community and celebrate diversity.

The blood drive will be held at the Groton Public Library on Thursday May 2nd between the hours of 1:30pm and 6:30pm.
