Ledyard Police Union Presents Big Check at Annual Holiday Party

Santa wasn’t the only one spreading cheer and good will at the annual holiday party Thursday.

Lt. Michael Finkelstein and Ledyard Officer Dan Gagnon, representing the Ledyard Police Union, presented a $1,200 check to the center, the result of fund-raising efforts by the union during the past year.

The money will be used for a badly needed new dishwasher and freezer at the Senior Center. “It was on our wish list,” said center Director Carol Geiler.

With those good tidings, the party commenced. After pictures with Santa (FX Williams), seniors sat down to a delicious holiday meal prepared by staff and volunteers, and served by Heather Geiler and Brittany Littlefield.

As the first course was bring served, Mayor John Rodolico arrived at the party, joining his wife, Joyce, and spreading more good will. The center was beautifully decorated for the well-attended party, the food was exceptional and everyone had a great time.
