Warming Up to Winter Story Time

Children's Librarian Nancy Brewer Brings Stories to Life

Several times a week Ledyard Children's Librarian Nancy Brewer leads Winter Story Time. She reads to toddlers on Monday mornings at Bill Library, 3-5-year-olds on Tuesday mornings at the Gales Ferry Library, 3-5-year olds at Bill Library on Wednesdays and 4-6-year-olds on Thursdays at Bill Library. She reads several books, and often there is some singing and role playing.

We met up with Nancy on a Tuesday morning at the Gales Ferry Library. The morning's selections included "The Snowy Day," by Ezra Jack Keats, "Clifford's First Snow Day," by Norman Bridwell, and "Just s Snowman," by Mercer Mayer. After the books, in keeping with the theme, the kids made paper snowmen. The Winter Story Time program continues until May.
