Vote For The Restaurant You Want Someone Else To Pay For

We got your nominations. Now vote among the top choices for the go-to Stonington-Mystic restaurant when someone else is picking up the check.

This week's Readers' Choice asked Ledyard Patch readers to nominate the restaurant in Ledyard or Gales Ferry they would choose if someone else was paying the bill. People posted their nominations on the and on Facebook throughout the week. The nominations seemed to be based on the menu, the price, and the likliehood that they'd be there all night long.

The hard part's over but the food fight has just begun. We have five finalists and we need you to vote for one of these restaurants as your favorite:

: "I would choose Fireside Pizza for Stephanie” wrote Fred Allyn Jr. on Facebook.

received a nomination from someone known to anticipate future circumstances based on the day’s events. Mike Cherry wrote, “Stonecroft Inn - esp if We also had to spend the Night!”

Mo’s Burgers and Brew: Ashley Akers wrote, “Mo's Burgers and Brew. Not only are their burgers delicious, but their ham grinder is banging too :)”

threw their hat in the race.

was nominated by my boss, Elissa Bass, who wrote, “Executive chef Scott Mickleson's food is divine, but way out of my price range.” Her nomination was 21 minutes late but she’s my boss, so it counts.

Leave a comment on why you voted, share your choice on Facebook and Twitter or leave a review on Ledyard Patch. This restaurant review is all about you—your ideas, your feedback and your voice. Voting ends at 9 a.m., on Friday. We’ll announce the winner on Saturday morning.

Pamela Ripley Ensley wrote on Facebook, "I chose Stonecroft Inn because I've never been but if someone is paying I'd love to try it. I've only heard great things about it. I live close to Fireside and Mo's so can go there any time."
