Exemplary Students In Southeastern Connecticut

MSMHS students honored for effort on CAPT

Commissioner Pryor, of the state of Connecticut, has awarded students at the Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern Connecticut the honor of being CAPT scholars. As many of us know, the CAPT (Connecticut Acedemic Performance Test) has been around for may years and is a requirement to graduate high school.

Dr. Nick Spera is the principal of this school and has proven that "effort creates Ability". The school had the highest overall CAPT scores in the state, and encourages other school districts to push students to succeed at education. Over 400 applications have been sent in for the 2013- 2014 school year.
