Daily Five: Ribbon Cutting And Ledyard's Top Dog

2. State Sen. Edith Prague and Rep. Tom Reynolds will attend a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the Town Green project Wednesday at 4. All people are invited to attend ceremony, cake and lemonade will be served. The event coincides with opening day of Ledyard Farmers’ Market, where local farmers are selling farm fresh produce and musical entertainment by The Locals. The market is open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

3. June is the month to register your dog AND enter . To register your dog you a current rabies vaccination date must be on file, or you must present a current certificate of rabies vaccination with an original veterinarian signature (not a copy of). It costs $8 to register a neutered or spayed dog, and $19.00 for an unaltered dog. Register your dog at the Town Clerk’s office. Then, upload a photo of your dog into the Ledyard Patch Top Dog photo contest and he or she will be eligible for prizes and most of all, the glory of being Ledyard’s Top Dog.

4. Register for tomorrow night’s Family Night dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ledyard Middle School and meet members from Ledyard Safe Teens Coalition. There will be a presentation on “The Teenage Brain, Alcohol and Risky Behavior,” raffles, door prizes and a free pasta dinner provided by Valentino’s.

5. Remind your graduating senior to pick up his/her immunization records from the school nurse before the last day of school.
