Third Suspect Sought, CROP Walk, Interfaith Calling, Great Weekend!

  1. Mainly sunny today, high 66F. Winds WSW at 15 to 25 mph. Tonight partly cloudy during the evening followed by cloudy skies overnight. Low 52F.
  2. Ledyard Police are still looking for a third suspect in Friday’s home invasion. So far two men have been charged in connection with the break-in at Marla Avenue. Police are seeking help from the public with the identify a third assailant. Anyone with information may call 860 464-6400.
  3. Sunday was a fine day for the annual CROP Walk, which departed from the United Methodist Church in Gales Ferry. Six local churches and 120 walkers participated. The local proceeds will benefit the Gemma Moran Food Center in New London.
  4. Stacy Goforth, church secretary at Ledyard Congregational Church and former assistant at United Methodist Church, is embarking on a new calling as an interfaith minister. Read her story.
