Snow Predicted Saturday Morning

Snow accumulating before noon, tapering off by evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Ledyard until 6 p.m. Saturday and predicts 2- to 4- inches of snow to accumulate before noon.  The snowfall will taper off in the afternoon and evening.

Ledyard has canceled Saturday activities because of the forecast. Post any other known cancelations in the comments.

Saturday: Snow. High near 37 degrees. North wind between 3 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Saturday Night: Snow showers likely, mainly before 7 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 17 degrees. North wind between 8 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday: A chance of flurries before noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 31 degrees. Northwest wind between 11 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 15 degrees. West wind between 6 and 9 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
