Gales Ferry/Ledyard CROP Walk 2013

The CROP Hunger Walk begins with registration at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 20th, at the Gales Ferry United Methodist Church. Bring your CROP packet with the information at the top of the donation envelope completely filled in. If you have completed collections, enclose all funds. If you have no completed collecting funds, bring only the top sheet of the envelope.

Please encourage your sponsors to give you their pledge or donation at the time that they sign up to support you. If they are not prepared to give you the money when they sign up, ask them if you could please collect it before the CROP Walk takes place so that you can turn in all your money when you register for the Walk. This will save you the trouble of having to go back to them later.

If there are sponsors who prefer to give you the money after the Walk, please contact them immediately after the Walk and collect their pledge/donation at the earliest possible time so that you can turn in your completed packet to your church's recruiter no later than November 3rd. Even if you have not raised any funds, the packets MUST be returned.

Checks payable to "CWS/CROP" are preferable but cash is acceptable.

You may also solicit donations at www.crophungerwalk.org. Click on "Crop Hunger Walk in CT" to find the Gales Ferry/Ledyard Walk. Click "Your Walk Information," then sign up as an individual and the site will direct you from then on.

Those sponsors eligible for matching funds from their employers or civic clubs (Pfizer, Lions, etc.) need to get a matching grant application from their employer or organization, fill it out completely, and turn it in with their donation. Their donation should be made by check so that it can be verified.
