Commercial Burglary Under Investigation, Juveniles Apprehended In Residential Burglary

Ledyard Police Department responded to a commercial security alarm at Mo's Burgers in Gales Ferry this morning, according to a press release. Ledyard police officers found that a window to the establishment had been broken and entry made by an unknown individual.

The release says that further investigation determined that a lone individual had entered and stole the business cash box.

This incident remains under investigation by the Ledyard Police Department Patrol and Detective Divisions. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ledyard Police Department at 860-464-6400. Callers can request an anonymous crime tip line at that same number.

Two juveniles were arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and fourth-degree larceny as a result of an investigation following the report of a residential burglary on Meetinghouse Lane on Monday, Jan. 30, according to the release.

The release says a variety of household and personal items were stolen from the residence with some being recovered.

Both juveniles were referred to the Superior Court for Juvenile Matters in Waterford. This investigation continues to determine any other individuals who may have been involved
