Ledyard Arrests May 24 – 31

The following arrest information was supplied by the Connecticut State Police Troop E and the Ledyard police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

May 24

At 11:31 p.m. police issued an infraction to Charles P. Levanti, 60, of 8 Appell Road in Brooklyn, for possession of marijuana. Levanti was stopped for speeding on Route 12, which resulted in seizure of marijuana. Levanti was also cited for speeding.

May 27

At 12:01 a.m. police arrested James P. O’Connor, 26, of 3 Ash Drive in Gales Ferry, on outstanding arrest warrants. O’Connor was charged with violation of parole, third-degree strangulation, disorderly conduct, breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief. He was assessed a $15,000 cash bond and given a May 28 court date.

May 30

At 1:50 a.m. police arrested Melissa R. Everett, 30, of 4 Bayview Drive in Stonington, after her vehicle travelled over the double yellow line and the single white fog line “on numerous occasions,” on Col. Ledyard Highway and Gallup Hill Road, according to the report. Everett was charged with failure to drive right and operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was assessed a $500 non-surety bond and given a June 12 court date.

At 4:53 p.m. police arrested Peter D. Porrello, 29, of 22F Flintlock Road, and charged him with disorderly conduct. The report says Porrello was involved in a verbal altercation with a victim and he “briefly placed both his hands around the victim’s neck.” It says Porrello was subsequently arrested for domestic violence. Porrello was assessed a $1,000 non-surety bond and given a May 31 court date.
