Ledyard Arrests May 31 – June 7

The following arrest information was supplied by the Connecticut State Police Troop E and the Ledyard police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

June 1

At 10:22 p.m.  police arrested Michael L. Wooten, 50, of 102 Vinegar Hill Road, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, failure to drive in proper land: multiple lane highway, and interfering with an officer: non-assaultive. Wooten was arrested “after swerving into oncoming traffic” on Route 2A in Montville and striking the vehicle driven by Eugene Stephens, of Bristol. Occupants in that vehicle did not report injuries but Wooten was transported to Backus for minor injuries. He was assessed a $5,000 bond and given a June 4 court date.

June 3

At 12 p.m. Patricia A. Gomez, 50, of 1098 Long Cove Road in Gales Ferry, had come to a stop at the intersection of Long Cove and Military Highway and when she began to turn left, the driver of a grey car driving north on Military Highway ran the stop sign.  This caused Gomez to go off the road, and then she slid on sand and crashed into the metal guardrails. Gomez was transported to L&M Memorial Hospital for arm and wrist injuries.
