A K9 track went into the Groton Reservoir property and out onto Sandy Hollow Road. Investigation revealed that the vehicle that left the accident scene had been stolen from an Iron Street residence, according to Finkelstein.

Occupants in the remaining vehicle did not report injuries as a result of the crash. The Ledyard Police Department responded along with the Ledyard Fire Department, due to a fluid spill.
