Don't we just love those campaign signs? Did you notice the "parade" of signs for one candidate every 100 yards or so up and down Rts. 12 and 214? The signs not supposed to be posted on state roads? The signs not on private property or town property? How could you miss them? “If you are leading and no one is following, then you are just a one person parade.”

It is a real shame that rules are not followed. And Fran, sorry but everyone is doing it is no excuse. Poor showing by one who needs to rise above. Just saying...

Fran, you do not stand alone, there are many others who have taken notice of what has been going an in town, Some of us stand with you.

I won't comment on the sign issue, mostly because I don't vote based on signs, and I really don't care what signs get posted where. What I wanted to to do was congratulate Bill Thorndike on putting together a comprehensive article on the candidates and positions. I heard that the Day had a piece on the elections, but since I don't get the Day, I'm one of those people who often go into the ballot booth ignorant of the candidates. Thanks Bill! This is a valuable public service.

To Fran Lowell and Sharon Pealer.. I am new to town and have been trying to understand the political landscape in my new town. As such I have read all the Ledyard Patches and related articles. Here is my question for the two of you and maybe Edee Smith too. Why dont I see you running for any office? You seem to have plenty of time on your hands. You are critical of just about everything and everyone. And last but not least...You know all the answers. Why are you not on any ballots? By the way all those ALLYN signs on rt 214 and rt 12 lead right to your house Fran. My guess is we will not see you out picking them all up tomorrow because the rules dont seem to apply to you. Maybe next election I will be able to vote for one of you. Have a great day
