Ledyard Dems Endorse Slate for November Election

The election is Nov. 5, 2013.

Ledyard's Democrats endorse their slate of Town Council and Board of Education candidates Thursday night, and there are some very familiar names.

Endorsed are:

Town Council

1. Mary McGrattan (incumbent)

2. Bill Saums (incumbent)

3. Sharon Wadecki (incumbent)

4. Lou Gabordi

5. S. Naomi Rodriguez

Board of Education

1. Sharon Hightower (incumbent)

2. Rebecca Graebner (incumbent)

3. Stephanie Calhoun (incumbent)

Gabordi was a longtime teacher in the Ledyard school system before retiring as high school principal in 2012. Rodriguez is chair of the Democratic Town Committee.

"I am very happy with the slate of candidates that our party is putting forward," Rodriguez said in an email to Patch. "They are a great group of people who will strive to do their best for the Town of Ledyard."
