Ledyard Posts 2012 Election Ballots

Ledyard has two different ballots this year.

This election year will be very much the same for most Ledyard residents and for a select few in Gales Ferry, their polling place may be the same but their ballots will differ from the rest of Ledyard by two names.

A few households in Gales Ferry were annexed off to the 40th assembly district in the most recent redistricting. The redistricting created a third voting district in the town and and come Nov. 7 they be represented by either new-comer Republican Andrew Lavery or incumbant Democrat Ted Moukawsher, both of Groton.

District one and two voters will chose between Republican Mike France and Democrat Tim Bowles to represent themselves and the rest of the 42nd assembly district.

The election day is actually November 6, not the 7th as stated in the article.
