Ledyard High Graduation Forecast: Perfect

The weather forecast looks great!

Commencement ceremony for the 225 members of the Class of 2013 begins at 6 p.m., Saturday on Mignault Football Field. Seniors need to be there no later than 5:30 p.m., to line up.

The weather forecast is perfect: Sunny with a high of 77 degrees, a slight breeze out of the southwest, and humidity of around 63 percent. Sunset is not until 8:25 p.m., so the light should be beautiful for photos.

There will be eight speakers: the Class Poet, five of the 10 Ledyard Scholars (the top students in the class academically). and Principal Amanda Fagan.

Students have five tickets each for the bleacher seating, but there is standing room along the field fences.

The graduates will leave shortly after the conclusion to the secret location of the all-night graduation party.
