VIDEO: Ledyard Drama Presents The Diary of Anne Frank

Ledyard Drama will be performing the classic play for two nights in December.

Ledyard High School Drama Club takes on The Diary of Anne Frank .

On December 7th and again on the 8th, 2012 at 7:30pm the Ledyard thespians will perform The Diary of Anne Frank.

The story is of a young Jewish girl who receives a diary for her thirteenth birthday in which she hoped to write about all the aspects of her life. But within the month her sister Margot is called up to report to authorities in Nazi occupied Holland and instead of sending their daughter for the appearance, which would have most probably meant her being sent to a work camp, the Franks go into hiding.

For two years Anne and her family stay hidden and Anne documents her experience in the diary.

Two months after Anne’s fifteenth birthday, and two days after her last diary entry, their hiding place is raided and the Franks are discovered. That is where the entries end.
